In case you were wondering, yes! MTA made a bold decision to buy one BYD electric articulated bus.
Wednesday, April 1st makes this the official inaugural ride on the "reverse" Mondawmin ShuttleBug (Route 97), which OBVIOUSLY still exists. Turns out BaltimoreLink was a joke all along, am I right?...
One of the very few new features customers will notice is the 5-door configuration; whereas, passengers are now able to board & disembark on the "left side" of the street. This was done so to ease the stress on operators waiting for patrons to cross the street, in-front of the bus. Safety is MTA's #2 goal behind "revenue."
The many of passenger enjoyed the quiet noise as if no one was aboard the entire trip.
