Best Chop Saw Ever? - Makita LC1230

The Makita LC1230 has been an awesome saw for me for over 17 years. I’ve used it to cut wood and metal. It slices, it dices, it makes julienne fries. I know it is primarily a metal saw but it just works. When you’re strapped for cash and need a saw to do everything this is a great one. I’ve done crown molding with a jig on this thing. I’ve built furniture. I’ve trimmed a metal closet hanging rod (EMT conduit) to a better length. I know it’s not as fancy as an actual miter saw but I’ve been able to get easy 45 and 22.5 degrees for a lot of trim work.

Makita, if you’re out there I would be a brand supporter for sure. I like many tool brands but at least a couple of your tools have done extremely well for me.
