Artistic Distortion Using Stacked Layers

Here's a way to create a wide range of artistic effects, simply by stacking up a bunch of layers and applying different effects to them. When most adjustments are 'live' (and hence non-destructive), it's easy to go back and re-adjust them.
This is a great and fun way to explore different adjustments.
