► This new 55 will sit between the Outremer 51 and the 5X in the range. At the helm of the project is the “dream team” that has built the latest models, namely the triumvirate of Patrick Le Quément, Marc Van Peteghem and Franck Darnet. The coachroof is the result of innovative aesthetic research with large glazed areas on the sides and a large vertical opening forward, that is concealed by rounded uprights. The mast is stepped on the coachroof in order to ensure optimum weight centering. The two helm stations are equipped with movable steering wheels, and provide excellent visibility over the water and - on each side - comfortable seating for two people. The cockpit enjoys the protection of a light but well-covered bimini. At the stern, a wide bench seat allows you to make the most of the table, which is itself set back. As for the nacelle, this is home to a large galley with a central island and a forward-facing chart table. The Outremer 55 is above all a light, well-canvassed catamaran, capable of good speeds under sail - including upwind, close-hauled thanks to her deep daggerboards – from just 5 knots of wind.

► Ce nouveau 55 se cale dans la gamme Outremer entre le 51 et le 5X. On retrouve aux manettes du projet la « dream team » qui a réalisé les derniers modèles, à savoir le triumvirat Patrick Le Quément/Marc Van Peteghem/Franck Darnet. Le rouf témoigne d’une recherche esthétique innovante, avec de larges surfaces vitrées sur les flancs et une grande ouverture frontale verticale masquée par des montants arrondis. Le mât est posé sur le rouf dans un souci de centrage des poids optimum. Les deux postes de barre optent pour des barres à roue mobiles ; ils assurent une excellente visibilité sur le plan d’eau et – sur chaque bord – une assise confortable pour deux personnes. Le cockpit gagne la protection d’un bimini léger mais bien couvrant. A l’arrière, une large banquette permet de profiter de la table, elle-même reculée. La nacelle, quant à elle, abrite une vaste cuisine avec îlot central et une table à cartes face à la route. Des ouvertures ont été étudiées afin de se passer de climatisation. L’Outremer 55, léger et bien toilé, est capable de faire route sous voile à bonne vitesse – y compris au près serré grâce à ses profondes dérives – dès 5 nœuds de vent.
