134 Year Old Prairie Dog Central Steam Train w/ Wooden Coaches and Caboose in Manitoba (5/15/2016)

On May 15th, 2016, I went out to railfan the Prairie Dog Central Railway. This day they were using their classic steam locomotive, PDC #3. It was built in 1882 for Canadian Pacific and is the oldest operating steam locomotive in Canada, at 134 years old as of April 2016. They have five 104+ year old wooden coaches and a 104+ year old wooden caboose. They operate from Mile 8.96 to Mile 21.00 of the ex-CN Oak Point Subdivision. It was abandoned in 1996 and the Prairie Dog Central bought a 20.3 mile section (Mile 7.8 to 28.1, CP Carberry Sub (Winnipeg) to Warren, MB) in 1999 and had a yard built at Mile 9 (however CN still uses it from Mile 7.8 to 11.4 to serve a grain elevator). Mile 21.0 to 28.1 is used for freight car storage to make extra money.
