On April 7, 2023, a suspect in Crawford County, Missouri, was charged with six criminal counts following the theft of a Missouri State Highway Patrol vehicle.
The charges include:
..Count I: Stealing a 2021 Ford Explorer assigned to a state trooper (Class D Felony)
•Count II: Resisting arrest by fleeing at speeds over 100 mph through Cuba, MO (Class E Felony)
•Count III: Leaving the scene of an accident with over $1,000 in property damage (Class E Felony)
•Count IV: Exceeding the speed limit by driving 110 mph in a 35 mph zone (Class B Misdemeanor)
•Count V: Careless and imprudent driving while handcuffed, resulting in an accident (Class A Misdemeanor)
•Count VI: Interfering with legal process by providing a false name to avoid arrest (Class B Misdemeanor)
