Hello everyone. Today we are going to do a little exploring in the Parryville PA area. I have been to Parryville a few times in my life but have never known its rich iron producing history. First we will start on the west side of the Lehigh River. On this side ran the Lehigh Valley railroad mainline. This is also the side of the river that an enormous amount of slag was dumped, most likely coming across the covered bridge from the Carbon Iron Works. Let’s take a walk and I’ll tell you my thoughts. Thank you for watching. 2/3/25
