Alex Rudinger - Whitechapel - "Anticure"

Despite the fact that I'm no longer with Whitechapel, I'm still immensely proud of 'KIN'. So awhile back I recorded a few more play-throughs for some of my favorite tunes from the album - while the material was still relatively 'fresh' for me. Here's the third (of 4) - "Anticure".

Anticure's definitely a vocal-driven song with more of a 'Rock' vibe, which I guess is fairly different relative to Whitechapel's back-catalogue. But truthfully, I think it's one of the best songs Phil's ever written vocally. He absolutely killed it, & it's one of my favorites from the album.

Drum-wise, although it's a bit less 'tech' than some people might expect (again, relative to what Whitechapel's known for drum-wise), I really love how the drums compliment & work with the song. Doing a tom part of sorts during the chorus was actually one of the other guys' ideas (not entirely sure who to be honest! Lol!). When they sent me the initial demo with their programming, there was something along those lines, & I thought it was really creative & different. I expanded on it a bit, but I certainly can't take all the credit for the drums in this song - like most of the album, it was certainly a collaborative effort.
