Building Our Transit Future

Sound Transit is undertaking the nation’s largest public transit expansion. The agency is building a 252-mile system, including 116 miles of Link light rail, 91 miles of Sounder trains, and 45 miles of bus rapid transit. Recently, Sound Transit opened the Hilltop T Line Extension, connecting downtown Tacoma to the Stadium District and the Hilltop neighborhood. In 2024, Link light rail will expand into Bellevue, Redmond, Shoreline, Mountlake Terrace, and Lynnwood.

Sound Transit’s Chelsea Levy, Deputy Executive Director of Capital Project Development, will provide an overview of Sound Transit’s current operations, projects currently under construction, and future projects currently in planning.
