本地導演自資拍攝，繼《填詞L》後另一圓夢故事

《敗走麥城》由三位移加港人導演，自資拍攝三個不同的移民故事。

三位導演（阮浚德、羅懷恩、蔡康凝）分別於香港電影導演會畢業，曾於香港任導演、編劇，曾於各大電視台和製作公司工作。

各導演的作品亦曾分別入圍過溫哥華亞洲電影節、紐約亞美國際電影節等，及在多個電影節競賽。

他們經過多番努力、籌集資金、招募加拿大本地電影製作人材及演員，爲的就是「在加華人要有一部自己的電影」。

《敗走麥城》為三人首次「合體」創作的電影作品，完成了這個夢想，並成爲了首部香港人在萬錦市拍攝的
電影。

A Local Directors’ Self-funded Project: Another Dreams Come True After THE LYRICISTWANNABE

FRESH OFF MARKHAM is the brainchild of three Hong Kong-born directors who self-funded the project, which tells three different immigrant stories.

The directors, who graduated from the Hong Kong Film Directors' Guild, have worked as directors and screenwriters in Hong Kong’s television and film industries. Their previous works have been nominated for various international awards, including the Vancouver Asian Film Festival and the New York Asian
American International Film Festival.

After much effort, fundraising, and recruiting local Canadian talent and actors, the directors were determined to create a film for the Chinese community in Canada.

FRESH OFF MARKHAM marks the trio’s first collaborative feature film, fulfilling their shared dream of producing a film shot in Markham, making it the first-ever film
made by Hong Kong filmmakers in the city.
