ENGLISH VERSION: Today's Bible Verse (27.12.2025):

✝️ VERSE:
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. (COLOSSIANS 3:15 KJV)

🌿 EXPLANATION:
Blessed be the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today we meditate on this precious verse from Colossians 3:15.

The first part says, “Let the peace of God rule in your hearts.” What governs our hearts today? Is it the peace of God, as the apostle Paul teaches, or is it confusion, anger, jealousy, and division that Satan tries to bring? When the peace of God rules in our hearts, the Lord reigns within us, and the Holy Spirit dwells in us. Then the fruit of the Spirit flows naturally through our lives. But when the enemy rules the heart, Christ and the Spirit stand outside in sorrow, and disorder fills the inner man.

A nation reflects those who govern it. In the same way, a life reflects the one who rules the heart. If Jesus, the Prince of Peace, reigns in us, our actions, words, and decisions will reflect His nature, and the peace of God will be evident in our lives. Many people do not care who governs their hearts, and this leads to chaos and cruelty. But God calls His children to live differently.

The word used by the apostle Paul for “rule” comes from the Greek word brabeueto, a term used in sports, meaning an umpire or referee. When the peace of God is the umpire of our hearts, it decides what must stay and what must go. Our lives become orderly, disciplined, and purposeful. Without this peace, no amount of money or wealth can bring true satisfaction. For the heart to be filled with peace, Jesus Himself must rule.

The second part of the verse says, “To the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” We are called into one body, the body of Christ. The Lord has given us countless blessings, life, health, strength, salvation, and eternal hope. We are delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of His love. Because of this, gratitude should overflow from our hearts.

Scripture warns that in the last days many will be unthankful. But God’s children are called to live with thankful hearts. Thanksgiving should not be limited to a single day in a year. Every day is an opportunity to remember the mercy, grace, and goodness of the Lord, who does thousands of good works for us daily. A heart ruled by peace will always be a heart filled with thanksgiving.

🙏 PRAYER:
Lord of peace, blessed be the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I thank You for Your holy Word. Let the peace of God reign in my heart and make me a thankful person. Drive out all confusion, anger, wrath, and division, and fill me with the fruit of Your Spirit. Rule my heart with Your principles of peace, and let my deeds reflect Your nature. Bring me out of the dominion of darkness into the kingdom of Your peace. I acknowledge that without Your peace, wealth and possessions are of no value. I thank You for washing me by Your blood and calling me into the kingdom of the Son of love. Make my heart grateful for life, strength, and salvation. In these last days, help me to always be a thankful child before You. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
