leaving my job at google is something that i've thought about for a long time and i finally decided to pull the trigger. there were a handful of reasons that contributed to this decision and so far i don't regret it. i have no idea if working for myself fulltime will work in the long run but it's something i've always wanted to try. i'm hoping that with enough runway and effort i'll be able to make it work. if it doesn't, i feel confident i can always go back and find some kind of software engineering job. the truth is that i won't regret trying, what i would regret is never giving it a go at all.
