Netthalla Iguru (Andhra-style fish curry) is a flavorful, spicy dish made with fish, tamarind, and aromatic spices. Here’s a simple recipe along with relevant hashtags.
*Ingredients:*
500g Netthallu (Anchovies)
3 tbsp Oil
1 Onion (finely chopped)
2 Tomatoes (chopped)
2 Green Chilies (slit)
1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1 Tamarind (lemon-sized, soaked in water)
1/2 cup Water
Curry Leaves
Salt (to taste)
Fresh Coriander (for garnish)
#### *Instructions:*
1. Clean the anchovies thoroughly, removing the head and gut. Rinse well.
2. Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves, and sauté onions until golden brown.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry until raw smell disappears.
4. Add tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes turn mushy.
5. Pour in tamarind extract and add water. Bring to a boil.
6. Add the cleaned fish and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender.
7. Sprinkle garam masala, mix gently, and simmer for another 2 minutes.
8. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with rice.
