case 695:
Back in October 2022, a patient came with symptomatic apical periodontitis with previously initiated therapy in mandibular 2nd molar. this tooth had been treated twice but the desease was still persistent. after taking a proper informed consent, i started my dental treatment. all the steps were done in a single visit, and the 2nd visit (follow up) was done within 8 months afterwards. Bone regeneration was seen through xray, tooth was asymptomatic and fuctional.
here are the procedures from the beginning to the end:
1. rubber dam: Sanctuary ‪@SanctuaryDental_official‬
2. ultrasonic tip to refine the access cavity preparation: e3D and e6d (eighteeth ‪@EighteethSifary‬ )
3. canal preparation using rotary file: pathfiles 13/02, and 16/02 by Eflex Blue (‪@EighteethSifary‬ ) and 25/06 e-flex blue File (eighteeth)
4. continuous ultrasonic irrigation: u-file attached to ultramint pro (eighteeth)
5. warm hydraulic condensation using fast fill and fast pack (eighteeth) and ceraseal bioceramic sealer (metabiomed ‪@MetaBiomed‬ )
6. coronal seal: low shrinkage stress flowable bulkfill composite (palfique bulkflow, tokuyama)
7. core build up and proximal build up: high filled, low shrinkage stress, flowable (palfique universal flow, ‪@TokuyamaAmerica‬ )
8. microscope: labomed prima
9. xray: nanopix (eighteeth)
