Beautiful rock formations, slot canyons, and amazing hikes--Cathedral Gorge State Park has it all. Located near Pioche Nevada, this little known state park is worth making a detour for. You can easily spend a couple hours here, which makes it the perfect stop along a road trip. There is plenty of exploring to do in this park; see if you can find which canyon feels like it runs AC even in the heat of summer. Make sure to put this as a stop the next time you are driving through Nevada.
