"Earned" is the story of a man, a mission, and the mountains that stood between them. At 65 years old, Scott set out to fulfill a dream decades in the making — to harvest a color-phase black bear deep in unforgiving country. With the snow just receding and no tracks but our own, we pushed into a wild, remote landscape where one wrong step could cost you more than the shot. Scott had come close before… but never close enough. This time, with time running out, the bear wasn’t going to be given. It had to be earned.
