As a student in a Physics 8900 Advanced Topics: Black Holes course at the University of Georgia, I gave a lecture introducing Penrose-Carter Diagrams.

I began with a brief review of the Kruskal Extension, moved on to deriving a conformal treatment of the Minkowski Metric, plotted the associated Penrose Diagram, then drew and discussed a Penrose Diagram of the Schwarzschild Solution.

I should note that I am not a graduate student, rather an undergraduate who had the opportunity to enroll in a graduate-level course.
