Loupé has a special mode called "Force Dry" dedicated to use with continuous sources.
This mode is used during all the video.
Here we use a track playing continuously as the input of loupé.
Dry/Loop knob is turned fully CW so that we can't hear the dry signal. (operation known as kill dry)
Without the Force Dry mode, we would hear silence when in record, insert and replace. What this option does is to force the dry signal regardless of the dry/loop knob setting during these functions.
It makes things more consistent.
Additionally, this mode will change the operation of overdub and multiply functions as the input source won't be recorded during these, only effects will be added, which is desirable in this kind of situation. (stacking layers of a continuous source can quickly sound messy)
In this demonstration we are using two similar GAMES with the following sustained functions:
Record, Replace/Q, Insert/Q, Instut/Q, Multiply/B, Multiply/Q, ReadFX reverse pitch +12 (or -12), Undo.
(Both GAMES used differ only in reverse pitch effect: +12 or -12 , different PPQ settings and Low Pass Filter use)
