Located in the heart of the Greater Los Angeles area, Glendale is home to nearly 200,000 residents and consistently ranks among the safest mid-sized cities in America. The Glendale PD’s RTIC plays a vital role in maintaining that status by improving response to calls for service, solving crimes more efficiently, supporting emergency preparedness, and increasing operational effectiveness.

Designed and implemented by Constant Technologies, the center features six ergonomic workstations, a supervisor’s room with direct access to dispatch, and a fully integrated video wall system. The RTIC brings together live camera feeds, LPR data, pan-tilt-zoom footage, and investigative tools to deliver real-time, actionable intelligence.

The RTIC focuses on four key priorities:
1. Real-time situational awareness to support faster, better decisions
2. Virtual proactive policing to deter crime before it occurs
3. Investigative support for efficient case resolution
4. Threat monitoring and coordination for major events and emergencies
From wildfire response to regional mutual aid, the RTIC enables timely collaboration with agencies across Los Angeles County. Built with trusted, familiar personnel and rolled out deliberately, the RTIC reflects Glendale’s commitment to public trust, technological innovation, and community partnership
