In this video I show you the pin curl setting pattern that I do. This pin curl set is the basis for most of my vintage hairstyles. I have included my personal pin curl setting pattern diagram. My hair is prepped with Avocado Oil and blow dried and flat ironed with LOW heat. I usually set my flat iron to 350° F (177° C) or lower. I use LOW heat because I do not want my hair "bone-straight". Doing this allows my hair to have more volume. Make sure the ends of your hair are nice and tucked while rolling the pin curls. It takes me 20-25 minutes to do. I leave it set and wrapped for 2 days or more for styling. Here are two quick and easy vintage natural hairstyles created from my personal pin curl setting pattern that I do:
