In this video we discuss how you can accurately benchmark your code so you can test which parts of your code are slow, and verify that any optimisations you make actually improve the overall performance. We'll learn how to use the BenchmarkTools.jl package and touch on some caveats that you should keep in mind when you are running benchmarks.
This module was designed as an MPAGS (Midlands Physics Alliance Graduate School) module and aimed at postgraduates and early career researchers.
