BMW Art Cars Exhibition 1975 - 2010

The BMW Art Car Project was started in 1975 by racing driver and art auctioneer Hervé Poulain, who invited his friend & artist Alexander Calder to paint a BMW 3.0 CSL. The car was then raced at the 1975 Le Mans 24 hours. Since then, nearly 20 artists from around the world have been invited to create an Art Car, using both racing and regular production vehicles as their canvas.

This is the first time all 16 Art Cars have been shown in the UK. This video is a walk around the exhibition and includes:

BMW E9 3.0 CSL "Batmobile", E21 320i Turbo (Gp 5), E26 M1 (Gp 4), E24 635CSi, E30 M3 Gp A, Z1, E34 535i, E32 730i, E34 525i, E36 M3 GTR, E31 850CSi, V12 LMR and E90 M3 GT2.
