Otorhinolaryngology, otherwise known as ENT, is an awesome specialty. There's a good variety of procedures, the lifestyle is generally pretty good (at least for a surgical specialty), and the anatomy is quite complex and fascinating. That being said, it wasn't for me. Here’s what I liked about ENT, what I didn't like, and why I ultimately chose not to specialize in it.
