Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement pintle lock for your Gen-Y adjustable ball mounts with the two inch receivers. Now, this pintle lock is designed to work with your Gen-Y adjustable ball mount with the two inch stacked receivers to create a pintle lock when used with a lunette ring coupler. You can see the Gen-Y ball mount with the stacked receivers, has the dual ball mount in it. And then, right above it is this pintle lock just to show you what that looks like. Now, because of the high weight capacities of a lunette ring coupler, this lock should only be used with a 2 5/16 diameter ball size. And basically, if you see on that picture there, you insert the pintle lock into the receiver directly above the ball mount. And after the lunette ring is put over the ball and is installed on that hitch ball, then you slide that pintle lock towards the ball and over that lunette ring.

And then what you end up doing, there's two holes here, you'll line up this hole after you slide it in, this hole's gonna line up. You'll take your included stainless steel pin and clip, slide it through there, pin it into place, and that's gonna lock it over the lunette ring. And what that end ups doing, it keeps that lunette ring from coming off the ball, so it's locking it. Just, I want to show you another insert. There it is in use.

You can see a lunette ring coupler onto the ball and then you'll see that lock holding it in place. Also, what's nice is if you're not hooking up to a lunette ring coupler, if you're just gonna use a regular ball coupler and you don't need to use this pintle lock, you can slide it back into the two inch receiver out of the way. And then, use the front hole, put the pin and clip through, and that'll lock it out of the way, keep it from interfering with just a regular coupler. Now, this is a durable steel construction, has a zinc primer and then an epoxy powder coat on it to resist corrosion. It is made in the USA.

One note I do wanna mention. This pintle lock is only compatible with the Gen-Y adjustable ball mounts that have the two inch stacked receivers. Cannot be used with the standard two inch hitch receiver.
