In this video Driveway Dudes Paul shows you that you can repurpose previously used escooter batteries/cells to build a batter pack to fit and work in a sea water scuba scooter.
We got this for very little money because the original 12V 4.5Ah sealed lead battery was according to the seller dead and gave off a bad smell when trying to charge so he disposed of it. We got it with no battery so we decided to repurpose some Li-Ion 18650 batteries that we recovered for free from an e-scooter pack that was destined for the recycling centre.
Watch and see how it can be done at very little to no expense to the enthusiastic diy'er. We found that there was enough 18650 batteries/cells to make two 12V 10Ah packs so one could be on charge while the other was in use.
