January 2025 Myrtle Beach Housing Market Update

Why are real estate industry experts bullish on the future of Myrtle Beach’s housing market?

The numbers from December 2024 are in, and they’re leaving many people optimistic about the future of our housing market. Single-family home sales are up 20.3% year over year, and the median price is up 4.1% to $385,000.

This is largely due to interest rate decreases from October 2024, when rates were as low as 6.25% for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage.

Now, experts are expecting rates to fall again in the near future. What does this mean for people looking to buy or sell a home in the near future?
