Yu Menglong was a well-known Chinese actor,
who previously played "Bai Zhen Shangshen" in Eternal Love (Three Lives, Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms).

His case caused widespread public outrage in China and has come to symbolize the unfair treatment he suffered.
