Is God Whispering, or Is It Just My Inner Voice?

If “it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you” at the right moment, as Matthew 10:20 says, how do we discern the difference between our own inner voice of our previous training and the Holy Spirit telling us what we are supposed to say?

Greg and Amy emphasize that Christians don’t need to wait for whispers from God but can trust the Spirit to use their preparation and courage. Jesus spent time teaching and training his disciples before sending them out, assuring them that the Spirit would bring his words to remembrance. This was not a call to passively wait for dictation but an encouragement that they would not be left alone in hostile circumstances.
