Madeira, also known as the "Hawaii of Europe" is a remote Portuguese island off the coast of Morocco. It's famous for its scenery, sunrises & sunsets hikes, blue water and unique spots such as the Forest do Fanal.
I wanted to create a travel guide as an overview of the 6 weeks that I spent in Madeira with everything from transport and accommodation through to the best hikes, the ones to avoid and some quirky things that I noticed when I was there.
