We went to Sattarkhan Street in Tehran, where we discovered one of the best and most generous Turkish kebabs in the city:
Neshat Doner Kebab 👑🔥
Doner kebab has its roots in Turkey, but it’s become a beloved street food in many countries — including Iran.
Traditionally, seasoned slices of lamb, beef, or chicken are stacked on a vertical rotisserie and slowly roasted to golden, juicy perfection.
There are different styles of doner:
Meat Doner: rich and flavorful lamb or beef
Chicken Doner: lighter and tender
Mixed Doner: best of both worlds for the indecisive!
It’s served in a variety of breads — pita, baguette, or even Iranian lavash.
At Neshat, everything is done just right.
The meat is marinated perfectly, the bread is hot and crispy, the salad is fresh, and the signature sauce — a mix of yogurt, garlic, and spices — takes it to the next level.
Portions are generous, and customers always leave full and smiling 😊
