Fingerstyle is really not my thing, and this is actually the only melody I can play on dadgad guitar. It's goes nicely in octaves in a way that is probably possible only in dadgad tuning. I got this one from Ed Boyd in a dadgad workshop at Oulu Irish Festival in 2013. I forgot the name and haven't heard this since or found any recordings or even with melody searches, so this is what I remember of it. I originally asked here in the description if anyone knew the tune, and thanks Hughes Family Music for providing the name of the tune, and the info that Lúnasa later recorded it on their Cas album as part of the Tinker’s Frolics set.
Recorded directly on my iPhone with a Röde clip-on mic, instead of my usual studio setup, but seems to work ok this way and with much less hassle...
