This week our online material continues with a technique related to the circle, but very different.
Where the circle begins from a bind and disengages under the sword, the windthauw is a direct displacement which parries an incoming attack from below, then winds back out.
Both techniques take advantage of a side step and a high hanging, but use it in very dfferent ways to achieve success.
