Near the town of Křemže right outside the village of Krasetín resides one of the most beautiful chairlifts in the country of Czechia. The Klet' chairlift is a Transporta Chrudim single chair that opened in 1961. Despite being operational for over 60 years, and even experiencing a tree falling on the line, the ropeway continues to transport people up the mountain in near original condition.

The height of 1,087 metres makes the Klet' itself the second highest peak within the Bohemian Forest Foothills, closely following the Libín. The mountain houses a variety of buildings, from Czechia's highest observatory, to the "Terezína Chata" mountain hut, all the way to the oldest stone observation tower in the country, built in 1825.

Whenever I find myself in Czechia for whatever reason, I always look for the oppertunity to ride one of the many vintage ropeways found in the country, so this 1960's gem was right up my alley! It was very mildly drizzeling on the way up, which led to the ride experience feeling very mysterious, yet comfortable at the same time thanks to the visor above me. On the way down, the overcast moved away, letting the sun pierce through the trees with a beauiful view in front. Essentially, this one ropeway provided two completely different ride experiences!
