If you're really struggling now, or over the holidays, my FB feed has recently been a writhing morass of helplines that I wasn't previously aware of! Finding numbers outside one's own country is difficult, but look up MIND (UK no: 0300 102 1234, open 9-6 Mon-Fri), Saneline (UK no. 0300 304 7000 4.30pm–10pm every day), CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably - great name! UK no. 0800 58 58 58 5pm–midnight every day), there's the SHOUT Textline, 24/7 on UK no. 85258, obviously the Samaritans (24/7, freephone UK no. 116 123), and a Google may turn up more specific local services: pre-prepared is better than deceased, so, if you even slightly suspect the holidays are gonna be rough, PLEASE go get those numbers in your phone now - it won't take more than a few minutes, and it could save your life. I'd also advise trying to get a minimum of 3 numbers in your phone, in case the first one you call is busy... Take care, & good luck!
