More Plants For My Late Spring English Garden 🌺

Hello everyone and welcome back to my garden in Essex on the South East Coast of England. I’m around 30 miles west of the City of London and 30 miles east of the seaside town of Southend-on-Sea and I garden in what roughly equates to a Hardiness Zone 8, although that mainly relates to the mildness of our winters, rather than the heat of our summers.

Now we are heading towards the end of Spring and the start of Summer 2023 and today I am visiting the lovely Fenlands Nursery in North Ockendon to find some plants to fill a couple of gaps in my borders.

Initially I set out to try and find something tall and columnar with a yellow appearance, but ended up in a totally different direction and came home with a gorgeous CERCIS CANADENSIS ‘FOREST PANSY’ REDBUD which I am just delighted with, and I also found a plant in the ‘SAVE ME’ section which I hope to nurture and bring back to life and it’s a EREMOPHILA GLABRA, commonly known as the Emu Bush or Tar Bush (a complete bargain at £5!).
