This is the longplay of the Lamborghini American Challenge, a racing game developed and published by Titus France and released for the Super Nintendo consoles, Amiga CD32, Atari ST, Commodore 64 and Game Boy. It is an upgrade of the game Crazy Cars III , released by the same developer for MS DOS in 1992. This version of Lamborghini American Challenge is the SNES version, launched in the United States and Europe.

The aim of the game was basically to run in clandestine races with a Lamborghini Diablo and make money from betting. You can choose between three drivers: Pam, who drives a yellow Lamborghini Diablo; Joe, with the red Lamborghini Diablo; and Sly, who drives the silver Lamborghini Diablo. The choice of drivers was simply aesthetic, since the handling of the 3 characters is identical.

The game was not limited to simple racing. Lamborghini American Challgenge obliges the player to manage his own money, choosing how much he wants to bet on the races and using it for the purpose of maintenance and upgrades of the vehicle after the races. In addition to this detail, there is a very rare element in racing games of its time: police chases. The player, when passing at high speeds close to vehicles and radars, was instantly chased by police authorities' cars, having to get rid of them during the race, under the risk of paying a fine.

The game is very reminiscent of Fast and Furious in its concept, having illegal races. These races all take place in the United States and each one has a registration fee and a prize, being three different stages, with progressive difficulty level and that will require car upgrades and money management. Passing the race without hitting opponent cars, knocking over cones and umbrellas and making accurate overtaking can earn you more money. In this video I chose Pam, for thinking that the yellow Lamborghini is more symbolic.

All tracks were played before moving to the next level. In this video I also included a little extra gameplay with the character Titus, with more than 6 million dollars and all the tracks open, but in this add-on I only went through the Challenges and the Secret Race (clicking on the United States flag on the map, CAUTION, do not watch this Secret Race of the video if you have epilepsy).

It's a good racing game, well ahead of its time. Perhaps it is the best game ever made by Titus.
