A classic car connaisseur talks about the sudden clear taillight craze of the early 2000s. Toyota surprised the world with the Altezza and Lexus IS brother, and unleashed a craze of Altezza/Lexus-style taillights. Many carmakers would follow. But was Toyota really the first? Nope, in the 1960s various American carmakers also had unique transparent taillights!
