In this video, I launched my DJI Neo and took off before it had a full GPS lock. While flying toward a neighbor’s place a couple properties away, the drone finally acquired GPS while flying over trees — and immediately started behaving sporadically before crashing into a neighbor’s yard.
The signal never dropped, and the whole thing happened in under 45 seconds. Not exactly sure what caused it, but this might be a good reminder to always wait for a GPS fix before takeoff.
