ICICI Bank has announced new Monthly Average Balance (MAB) requirements for all new savings accounts opened from August 1, 2025. 💰 This update comes after valuable customer feedback and aims to align better with expectations.
👉 Key Highlights of New MAB Rules:
Metro & Urban locations: ₹15,000 MAB
Semi-urban locations: ₹7,500 MAB
Rural locations: ₹2,500 MAB
Pensioners (Below 60 years) & Students of 1200 select institutes: NIL MAB
⚠️ Not Applicable For:
Salary Accounts
Senior Citizens / Pensioners (Above 60 years)
BSBDA / PMJDY Accounts
Special needs accounts
Savings accounts opened before July 31, 2025
👉 ATM & Service Charges Update:
At ICICI ATMs: First 5 cash withdrawals free, then ₹23 per financial transaction (non-financial free).
At Non-ICICI ATMs (Metro cities): First 3 transactions free, then ₹23 per financial & ₹8.5 per non-financial.
At Non-Metro cities: First 5 transactions free, then same charges apply.
These changes apply to:
✅ Savings Accounts
✅ Pensioner Accounts (Below 60)
✅ Minors
✅ Select Banking, Wealth Management & Private Banking Programs
✅ Integrated Savings + Demat + Trading (3-in-1) Accounts
🔔 Tip: Always maintain the required MAB to avoid extra charges.
📅 Effective Date: August 1, 2025
📌 For existing accounts (opened before July 31, 2025), old rules still apply.
