Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a medical condition affecting 25% of adults in their lifetime. Risk factors such as a family history of CVI, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), multiple pregnancies, obesity, and occupations that require prolonged sitting/standing can increase the incidence to near 90%!
With such high incidence, CVI is often unrecognized and its symptoms underappreciated. How does this end up affecting someone's quality of life?
Listen to one of my patients share how CVI affected him for many years until he finally got treatment with laser ablation and phlebectomy. If you are affected by CVI (regardless of its cause), see a qualified vein specialist near you. If you don't get the care you are looking for, don't hesitate to get another opinion!
