Shanghai is a charming city in China and the world .
Shanghai is not our capital , it is an independent municipality .
Shanghai has a STORY in the recent history in China , if you come to Shanghai ,
1 ; you can see the international architecture complex of the bund , there are 52 European buildings with different styles along the coast , which is Shanghai's ''national architecture expo '' . most of them were built between 1920S-1930S . nowadays most of them are banks from over all the world , others host various art shows , jewelry exhibitions and some are nice restaurants .
2; you can see the modern and magnificent landmark buildings of Shanghai , you also can see the traditional Chinese gardens and architectures .

3 After 1978, Shanghai became a leading city in China's reform and opening up .Shanghai's history and culture have preserved the traditional Jiangnan culture (south of China ) while also absorbing Western modern culture , forming a unique'' Shanghai-style culture ''.
As a Chinese person , if you ask me a city to visit in China , I do recommend Shanghai to you .
There is only one suggestion: Avoid any holidays in China , because MANY Chinese people like to come to Shanghai during holidays . so most time during the holidays , it is overly crowded in Shanghai . of course , if you don't mind the large crowd , you can come at any time .
