Destination Speech Improvement (DSI): More than Public Speaking- Brings out the Leader in You! Coach Priya Sundararaman is a Distinguished Toastmaster with over a decade of coaching experience.

Destination Speech Improvement (DSI)’s Youth Leadership Workshops are 12 weeks long, from Day 1 Orientation to Day 12, the Grand Finale Speech Show/ Contest, held on Sundays.

The DSI educational program has four progressive levels - Competence, Bronze, Silver, Gold - each with different project mandates that help build the following and much more.

Inter-personal communication
Public speaking
Debate
Discussion
Meeting management
Responsible citizenship
Wholesome leadership skills

Children progress through as many levels as they choose but upon successful completion of ALL four levels that could take up to two years, they earn the distinction as DSI’s DISTINGUISHED YOUTH LEADER (DYL), which would be our highest educational award.

A DYL would have presented at least 21 prepared speeches ranging from 4-10 mins, led several meetings, impromptu sessions, debates and discussions besides actively participating in such activities. They would have served as a Coach’s Assistant (CA) for specific timeframes, completed outside speech projects and additional responsible citizen requirements.

With so much exposure and personalized training, DSI is confident that our mentees are better equipped to face the real world with skills that last a lifetime.

DSI’s mentees have been recognized as Best delegates at High School Model UN events held at prestigious institutions such as Yale and UPenn, school council leaders, event hosts and organizers. They have become Youth TEDx speakers and coordinators, won several speech contests, also beauty contests that include impromptu speaking segments, such as Miss Teen India NJ 2018, Teen India USA 2018 AND Teen India World 2019!
