🔥 2년 만에 다시 스토리 모드 달려봤습니다.
역시는 역시. 명작은 시간이 지나도 그 빛을 잃지 않네요.

개인적으로는 갓 오브 워 2018 쪽에 더 애정이 갑니다.
라그나로크도 인생 게임 리스트에 들 만큼 훌륭하지만,
2018 특유의 묵직한 타격감, 블레이드의 화려한 연출,
그리고 날렵한 전투 템포는 지금 다시 해도 압도적이에요.

라그나로크는 새 무기가 추가되면서 D패드 아래에 또 하나의 무기가 배정되었는데,
그 영향으로 빠른 뒤돌기 조작을 터치패드로 옮겨야 했던 점이 좀 불편했어요.
설정을 바꿔도 버튼 두 개를 동시에 눌러야 해서 조작감이 조금 아쉽더라고요.

또한 빠른 타겟 전환이나 적에게 시원하게 접근할 수 있는 기술 면에서는
2018 쪽이 훨씬 직관적이고 박력 있었던 것 같습니다.
라그나로크에선 ‘수호자의 격노’ 외엔 그런 순간이 많이 줄어든 느낌이에요.

그래서 그런지, 전투의 손맛이나 몰입감은
여전히 2018 쪽이 제 취향엔 더 잘 맞는 것 같네요 😊

🔥 It’s been over 2 years since I last played through the story,
and wow—masterpieces truly don’t fade with time.

Personally, I still have a soft spot for God of War (2018).
Ragnarök is undoubtedly a great game and one of my favorites,
but when it comes to that heavy impact,
the flashy elegance of the Blades,
and the crisp, fast-paced combat—
2018 just hits different.

With Ragnarök introducing a new weapon,
there’s now an additional weapon assigned to the D-pad down slot.
Because of that, the quick turn had to be moved to the touchpad,
which feels a bit inconvenient—especially since
even after remapping, you still need to press two buttons together.
Not the most fluid setup.

I also felt that quick targeting and camera shifts
are a bit sluggish compared to 2018.
There were fewer flashy, aggressive approaches to enemies—
aside from "Guardian’s Wrath," there aren’t many satisfying gap closers.

So yeah, when it comes to the overall combat flow and impact,
2018 still wins me over. 😊
