Individuals living with ALS may experience changes in their speech, but this does not mean it takes away their voice. In this webinar, Kate Nilson, Speech Language Pathologist and Care Service Manager, discusses how ALS may affect someone's speech as well as strategies to improve one's ability to still be understood while speaking. In addition, she discusses alternative ways of communicating including Augmentative Alternative Communication systems and Speech Generating Devices. Lastly, she discusses the option of Voice Preservation.
