‘VP SARA IS SELECTIVE’

WATCH: House Assistant Majority Leader Zia Adiong, the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) budget sponsor, feels insulted by the actions of Vice President Sara Duterte snubbing—for the second time—the deliberations of her office’s proposed budget for 2025.

In a briefing earlier, Duterte said she would attend the budget hearing in the Senate but not in the House, which she earlier accused of plotting an impeachment against her.

The OVP's allocation plunged to P733.198 million from the initial P2.026 billion after the House Committee on Appropriations "unanimously" agreed to slash P1.293 billion, citing its "over extended" offices and social services "overlapping" with those with other state agencies.

The House is expected to pass House Bill 10800, or the 2025 General Appropriations Bill, in its last session today, Wednesday. | 🎥 Edjen Oliquino
