A major milestone in our journey — we reached the final day of plastering our dream home in Africa 🏗️. Every wall is now carefully finished by our skillful masons working by hand — the authentic African village way 👷🏽‍♂️. This progress brings us closer than ever to completing the house of our dreams, built with patience, sacrifice, and love. ❤️

To celebrate, we prepared a village-style feast filled with flavor and tradition:
• 🐟 Grilled monster fish fillets — freshly caught, carefully cut into fillets, marinated with natural spices, and grilled slowly over firewood for a smoky, juicy flavor.
• 🥥 Coconut sauce — rich, creamy, and the perfect accompaniment for grilled fish, bringing out the tropical taste of our coastal village.
• 🥬 Fresh vegetables — harvested straight from our garden, cooked simply and naturally for a healthy balance.
• 🍲 Ugali — a traditional East African dish made from maize flour, thickened into a hearty, dough-like staple. Ugali is the heart of every Kenyan meal, providing strength and energy, and today Mama Chogo helped us prepare it the traditional way.

Alongside the cooking and building, we also went shopping for clothes, including a dera — a free-flowing, colorful African dress that is popular along the East African coast. A dera is comfortable, stylish, and perfect for village life and coastal heat.

This day also brought us breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean, showcasing the beauty of African village life — where construction progress, food, family, and nature come together in harmony. 🌊🌴
