This recording is taken directly from the camera with no editing or extra mikes. The bow used in this recording is a fake; A copy of a Tourte bow. Originally it was stamped "Tourte", but one of the luthiers repairing it removed the stamp. The bow is very heavy and, while not heavy enough for a viola, certainly causes problems with the higher strings on the violin.
