Two tracks taken from Wayne Jarrett's 1982 album on Greensleeves called "Chip In". The two tracks in question are "True Love" followed by "Ranny and Lou". The whole album is true murderation, but these are my two favourite tracks, both of which reach deep into a trance-like dub magic at the hands of a youthful Scientist when he was at his most creative on the mixing desk, with production by the heavyweight Henry 'Junjo' Lawes and with deadly precision backing by the Roots Radics.
Some adult themes going on in Wayne Jarrett's lyrics which he delivers in his sweet, sweet style. In the first tune he professes he wants a "true love" and just not sex. But he seems to change his mind a bit in the following tune where he would very much like a girl to ride his "canoe" Hmm.
