One of the reasons I started sewing again after a 20-year break was so that I could create fun fun outfits and nice things for my family and home.
I really enjoyed challenging myself this week to design and create a Christmas Elf outfit for my daughter, who thankfully still likes to wear what I create! I worked from a photo and sketched out a couple of ways I could make it and decided to make a skirt and top rather than a dress - which in hindsight probably took me longer as I had to put in 2 zips, but I also put in poppers for the first time!
I like to share my sewing skills, tips and tricks as I learn them so I I this has inspired you to give creating your own patterns a go and to experiment as that is a good way to learn!
