The one that got away - the McCartney Wings bus

This video is to celebrate the craftsmanship of the many people who contributed to the restoration of this famous vintage bus: it has not been able to be seen or appreciated by the preservation and enthusiast communities, as its only public appearances have been for press and general media.
So this video is for all of you, to record this achievement just prior to the bus being taken away for auction held in Nashville, USA just a few months after its completion.
Eastern National 1953 Bristol KSW5G/ECW 2385 (WNO 481) is shown here as restored by Simon Morris Thorpe of Thorpe-le-Soken, associates and friends, many of whom donated rare 1950s parts (eg headlamps, radiator) to return this bus to its early-1970s condition when used by a pop artist as a tourer.
Converted to open-top for the summer 1966 season by EN in its Central Works at Chelmsford, it only worked at Clacton for two seasons, being sold to Eastern Counties as its LKO238 in 1968.
After passing through various owners, it ended up forgotten and unloved,
semi-derelict in a ravine surrounded by scrap in Tenerife by 2017.
It was saved, repatriated to the UK and initial work done to make it road-safe, before changing hands.
Its later owner, of the music business, oversaw its restoration as seen here.
Many who loved these Bristol KSWs (myself included in some details) assisted its restoration. This is to celebrate all that hard work mixed with kindness and sheer dedication, which made this possible.
